Water-cooled Vibration Systems
Above 13,000 pounds force, CVMS Climatic shakers are completely water-cooled. Distilled water is circulated inside hollow conductor armature and field coils for the most efficient heat transfer method possible. Heat is transferred to the circulating distilled water and then removed by an external water-water heat exchanger. The total system is very quiet and energy efficient.
Compact design, Lin-E-Air suspension, a completely sealed body and closed loop water-cooling for quiet and efficient operation, make these shakers ideal for general vibration work or combined environment tests with altitude, temperature, humidity and centrifuge applications. Sealed bodies make these shakers safe for use in explosive atmospheres.
CVMS Climatic Water-Cooled shakers utilise a double-ended magnetic structure, beryllium copper flexures and our unique Lin-E-Air body suspension which eliminates the requirement for intertia blocks and external isolation in virtually all applications.
Top and bottom hydrostatic bearing in the armature structure of the 2016 and 4022 & upwards series of shakers provide very high lateral stiffness. in addition, a pressurised internal body cavity and an optical pneumatic centering system (OPCS) re-centers loads of up to 2,000 lbs on the 2016 series and 3000 lbs on the 4022 & upwards series. This together with the hydrostatic guide bearings enable these shakers to support severe off-axis loads without the need of external support or guidance.
